Oppo launched a non-pro version of the Oppo Reno 6 Pro which is set to fit into the affordability limits of a larger number of people. But, it has to be said that the Oppo Reno 6 will face biting competition against some recent launches such as the OnePlus Nord 2 and Poco F3 GT, which belong to a similar price range. As opposed to the previous version, this phone is only available in a single configuration, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and the latter is not expandable as there’s no microSD slot.
One of the manifest variations between the Oppo Reno 6 and its Pro sibling is its design. This phone sports a dashing curved-edge display and a glossy frame that has been roped in at the expense of flat edges and a matte finished thus giving an impactful iPhone 12 impression. The Oppo Reno 6 is just as slim as the Reno 6 Pro (7.59mm) but slightly heavier at 182g. It comes with a 6.42-inch AMOLED display which is very appealing.
While the 4,300mAh battery capacity might not sound too significant, but does sustain day-to-day usage very well and one could easily average more than a full day on just a single charge. The Reno 6 also supports other fast charging standards such as USB-PD (18W). The Oppo Reno 6 is forced to part with the rear depth camera that the Reno 6 Pro has, but apart from this, it has the same set of sensors on the front and back. These include a 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, and in the front, a 32-megapixel camera for selfies. The videos look sharp and crisp, and HDR content is rendered pretty well too. Games were also particularly fun to play and compatible in respectable quality on the Reno 6.
