Samsung’s new swashbuckling phone, the Galaxy M32 5G is set to send shockwaves in the under Rs 25,000 smartphone market. A well-constructed smartphone, under Rs 25,000 to with 5G capabilities is quite unprecedented and would receive a lot of traction from the public. Anything with 5G capabilities, especially smartphones from a brand as renowned as that of Samsung’s is usually priced around the Rs 40,000 price mark. But that is expected, given that 5G is more of showbiz in India at this point but little can be argued against the prospects of it if a major smartphone manufacturer like Samsung comes out with a 5G phone at somewhat half that price tag for lower trim levels.
The Galaxy M series has been in pursuance with smartphones that you will have to critically account for when venturing for smartphones under the Rs 15,000 price tag to double that. The sale goes live on September 2 with prices starting at Rs 18,999 for the entry-level variant and top-end variant closer to the Rs 25k price tag with all the bells and whistles. In addition to the prominent 5G specification, the significant hardware in the phone is the octa-core MediaTek 720 SoC chip and a quad-camera setup in the rear. Also interestingly, Amazon happens to be an official seller in the online platform with other websites also getting stocks soon after.
In the optics department, the phone is packed with a 48-megapixel primary camera in addition to a 13-megapixel-front facing selfie camera. To power all this hardware and the 6.5-inch TFT display, it is fuelled by a power-packed 5,000 mAh battery. All this seems attractive, but what is left to be seen is whether it can compete with the likes of OnePlus and Xaomi.
