Introduction
In the first instance, one might get confused between Xiaomi Mi 10i and the Poco X3. that’s probably because of the similarities in their design and build especially the rear camera module design. The quad-sensor array juts out quite a bit and Xiaomi uses a surrounding circular ring layer that softens the impact and makes the protrusion feel less jarring.
Design and build
The phone comes with a 6.67-inch screen size, which is quite large. On the downside, the 9mm thickness and 214.5 grams of heft further push it to the unergonomic side of the spectrum and thus is quite hefty to carry around.Interestingly, the Mi 10i has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. This basically means that the display on its ownfluctuates between 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rates according to the content being drawn on the screen. It also feels remarkably robust. The phone is armoured by the Gorilla Glass 5 on front and rear, and the side frame (polycarbonate) feels quite durable.
Processor
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G which a relatively modern SoC. The only other notableusage is found in the Moto G 5G. This chip ismore up to the minute than the Snapdragon 765G. It has some advantages over it in the form of more modern high-performance Kryo 570 cores based on the ARM Cortex-A77 design rather than Kryo 475 cores based on the Cortex-A76. However, both chips have the same integrated Snapdragon X52 5G modem.
Cameras
The phone sports a whopping 108-megapixel primary rear camera which is of course the star of the show. It is complemented with the Samsung HM2 sensor and f/1.75 aperture. On the downside, it’s quite disappointing that the other three are so obsolete. The 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensors are more like what I’d expect to see on a phone that costs roughly Rs. 10,000.
