Pursuant to its goal of altering the flagship segment after commendable success in the budget and mainstream segment, Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 ultra 5g at a price up to Rs 7k. It is bound to face fierce competition from the old dogs of the premium phone segments like OnePlus 9 pro, iPhone 12 mini and Samsung Galaxy S21 all belonging to similar price ranges. Considering the fact that Mi 11 ultra is a newcomer in this arena, it has to be said it is a risky leap from Xiaomi.
The Mi 11 ultra 5g fancies a spectacular design with an aluminium frame enclosing a curved display. The metal frame merges into one another smoothly, thus not giving a feel of edges while handling the phone. On the downside, it weighs around 234g which is quite heavy and the rectangular camera module creates a hump on the phone which is justified to an extent considering the massive main camera sensor in the phone. However, on the right side of the camera is an OLED display that lights up when placed upside down and can be customised to display battery level, time, call and notifications.
The Mi 11 ultra 5g is run by Qualcomm’s current top-end Snapdragon 888 5G SoC and supports a total of 13 5G bands. It is a proficient phone for gaming, for instance, it supports highly demanding games like CoD and Asphalt 9.
The phone is fuelled by a Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable battery and charges to 100% in 36 minutes at 67W. Its variants are available at a combination of storage of 256GB and 512gb and RAM of 8GB and 12GB.
Mi 11 ultra does seem to take the bull by their horns in this price ranges as it provides a host of very useful features
