Oppo A55

On the 1st of October 2021, Oppo launched its A55 model in continuation to its very successful ‘A’ series. The phone arrives with the much sought-after 6.51-inch touchscreen display packed with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is also equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 processor and it comes with a 4GB RAM. The Operating system of A55 is Android 11 and is fuelled by a robust 5000mAh battery which is easily expected to last more than a day and Oppo A55 supports proprietary fast charging.

The  A55 runs Color OS 11.1 which is based on Android 11 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB) with a dedicated slot. The A55 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Oppo A55 measures 163.60 x 75.70 x 8.40mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 193.00 grams. It was launched in Rainbow Blue and Starry Black colours.

On the camera’s front, the Oppo A55 on the rear sports a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has an autofocus system which is particularly beneficial. It comes with a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor.

Oppo also provides a wide range of connectivity options on the phone which includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). In addition to this, there are Sensors on the phone for sensing accelerometer, ambient light, compass/ magnetometer, proximity, and fingerprint.
